As soon as you head out of town, it doesn't take long to see the cows and the silos; but did you know that Rockingham County, VA is the largest dairy producing county in Virginia? It has an established history of dairy farm family owned operations. As June Dairy Month comes to an end, it's a great time to bring your family to Explore More Discovery Museum for their "Farm to City Day". With Free admission for all, it's a great time to Explore More at the Museum featuring learning models with cows, dairy, and farm equipment. Visit with a live cow and her calf, answer dairy trivia and win prizes, make cheese and butter, create farm crafts,explore large farm equipment and more! Families will experience production agriculture close up and take away an appreciation for our dairy farms. .
